Our Story

Built with love & passion.

With a shared love of hospitality and a deep respect for local culture, Adrian and Annelise found the perfect place: a stretch of coast at the northern tip of Zanzibar, above the crystal-clear water of the Indian Ocean.

Double A carries their shared initials, and their two promises: exceptional guest experiences and real support for the community around them.

Today the family runs two houses in the same village. One sits right on the sand. The other is a calm retreat, a short, free shuttle ride away.

Steps from the Indian Ocean, every detail here is chosen so nothing interrupts the view. A quieter side of Zanzibar.

Twelve quiet rooms around an outdoor pool, with a sun deck, a garden and a bar that runs from late morning into the night. Every room has a private balcony and a walk-in wardrobe. The white-sand beach is nine minutes away on foot, through the village.
